A judge in Virginia has scheduled a two-day trial to begin in June, for an aspiring rapper who tried to sacrifice his friend - to become a member of the elusive ILLUMINATI group.

Wafeeq Sabir El-Amin, 27, was denied bond by the judge who called Wafeeq a "danger to the public." What happened? Well police say that Wafeeq shot his friend in the head inside a music studio while he slept. The victim awoke from a drowsy sleep to see Wafeeq pointing a gun at his head and saying that he needed to be sacrificed,.

The bullet ricocheted off the victim's hand sending bone and skin fragments into his eye, according to the warrant, but the victim was able to get hold of the gun and shoot El-Amin in the stomach before he ran off.

Wafeeq, who was heard shouting "You are my sacrifice" as he pulled the trigger, believed that a sacrifice had to occur in order to join the Illuminati.

Investigators recovered more than a pound of marijuana from the Athens Avenue home, according to the search warrant, as well as literature dealing with the Illuminati and its alleged connection to the music industry.

President Jonathan Says He Will Raise Petrol Prices, Again

President Goodluck Jonathan says he will definitely raise gas prices again, but will “discuss” with the public the easiest way to do it.  

On New Year’s Day 2012, Jonathan greeted Nigerians with the shock of new oil prices as he attempted to scrap so-called oil subsidies, leading to widespread strikes and protests that almost toppled his government.
He solved the problem at that time by partially revoking the effort.  He raised the price to 97 Naira a liter, up from 65 Naira.
Speaking at a press conference in Lagos today, Mr. Jonathan said, “We cannot continue to waste resources meant for a greater number of Nigerians to subsidize the affluent middle class, who are the main beneficiaries.”
He did not make any reference to the mammoth corruption and manipulation in the oil sector, and has kept in place Petroleum Minister Diezani Allison-Madueke, who has been serially accused of corruption and self-enrichment, as well as other officials.
Mr. Jonathan has also failed to implement the report of the Nuhu Ribadu-led Petroleum Revenue Special Task Force which last year made important recommendations on how to correct problems in the sector, just as he has throughout his presidency failed to implement various anti-corruption and good governance reports.
Critics denounce him as weak and indolent, and say he has done more than any of his predecessors in office to boost corruption in the country.  Last week, he granted state pardon to Dipreye Alamieyesegha, his predecessor as governor of Bayelsa State who was convicted for corruption.   Alamieyesegha is also wanted in the United Kingdom to answer money-laundering charges.
Meanwhile, members of Occupy Nigeria have told SaharaReporters they will be ready for Mr. Jonathan if he gives them the opportunity to again unite Nigerians in street demonstrations.
“We promise never again to be deceived or derailed by organized labor or any pro-government group which may want to sell out,” one organizer said.  “So if Jonathan is ready, we encourage him to bring it on.”

The Football Association has confirmed that no retrospective action will be taken against Wigan forward Callum McManaman for his challenge on Newcastle defender Massadio Haidara.

The 21-year-old, who was making his first Premier League start in Sunday's game, connected with a knee-high challenge on the left-back, which was only partially seen by referee Mark Halsey.

Haidara suffered a suspected knee ligament injury from the challenge, while the FA has confirmed that no action will be taken against the Wigan striker because the incident had been seen by an official during the match.

A statement read: "The FA can confirm that no action can be taken against Wigan Athletic's Callum McManaman retrospectively following his side's game against Newcastle United on Sunday 17 March 2013.

"Following consultation with the game's stakeholders (the Premier League, the Football League, the Professional Footballers’ Association, the League Managers’ Association, Professional Game Match Officials Limited and the National Game) in the summer, it was agreed that retrospective action should only be taken in respect of incidents which have not been seen by the match officials.

"Where one of the officials has seen a coming together of players, no retrospective action should be taken, regardless of whether he or she witnessed the full or particular nature of the challenge. This is to avoid the re-refereeing of incidents.

"In the case of McManaman, it has been confirmed that at least one of the match officials saw the coming together, though not the full extent of the challenge. In these circumstances retrospective action cannot be taken.

"The principal objective behind the not seen policy is to address off the ball incidents where match officials are unlikely to be in a position to witness misconduct."

Superstar couple, 2face and Annie Idibia seem to be lavishing lots of money for their upcoming Dubai wedding as report shows that they have doled out about N1.8m for the souvenir. The invitation package was designed by Karman Invitationers, a Lagos-based crafts company and a source disclosed that each IV costs about N9000 and that 200 copies were made for the couple.

The invitation is best described as a package containing a black invite card with white and red lettering, a small access tag as no one will be allowed on the wedding yacht without the tag and a travel guide. Everything is contained in an expensive box with chocolate dressing.

Annie’s dress which was made by a UK based Nigerian super exquisite wedding gown designer, Yemi Osunkoya(Kosibah) was purchased for about N1.7million. The grand wedding will hold this Saturday, 23rd of march, 2013

Gay Couple Commits Suicide Over Marriage Problem.

French acupuncturist and bad star Wilfried Knight committed suicide last week in Vancouver. Prior to his death, he wrote a series of blog posts expressing his frustration over being forced to move to Canada due to his visa expiring and the U.S.’s inability to recognize his marriage to Jerry Enriquez. Enriquez killed himself days earlier on Feb. 21.

The couple were married in Canada in 2011, but upon moving to the U.S., the Defense of Marriage Act prohibited them from being married in the states. This meant Knight was also forbidden from getting a green card sponsored by his husband.

In the blog posts, written before his suicide, Knight explained the ordeal in detail:

"Never mind our commitment, our years together, i was to be thrown out. My partner knew it and decided to look for a job in the only country that would allow us to be together and marry: Canada.

"And i know what most people will say: Why didn’t you guys marry in Washington, or California, or NYC? Well, IF YOU ARE TWO GAY MEN FROM DIFFERENT NATIONALITY, STATE MARRIAGE DOES NOT MATTER, EVEN IF ONE IS AMERICAN: IT NEEDS TO EXIST ON THE FEDERAL LEVEL TO APPLY TO A MULTINATIONAL COUPLE.” (sic)

Knight explained Enriquez obtained a job in Canada at sportwear company Lululemon. They left America to start a life there. But shortly after, Enriquez was fired by the company after a series of events, leaving the couple financially strapped and without employment, a visa, or health insurance.

Five months later, Knight came home to find his husband dead after he did not answer his texts.

“He had it well prepared. When i came back home worried for not receiving any answer to my texts, i found him there..hanging. I since then discovered the poor guy was on clonazepam and zoplicone to cope with the stress..which he had left there on the side with a bottle of wine he had purchased that morning…Which simply seemed aimed at me, in a way saying: “follow me and see you on the other side’.”

Why Good Women Date Bad Boys

In my work as a relationship coach and blogger, I hear it over and over again ... yet, at some level, it still takes me by surprise: Why do so many really smart, accomplished and attractive women go for "bad boys" or Alpha males? In other words, why does someone who has the potential to be an incredible catch sabotage herself with such poor choices?

An Alpha male is a man who owns himself, a leader of the pack. He is internally-driven and certain of who he is and what he wants. It is the very essence of masculine energy so it's no surprise that feminine energy finds it so appealing.

The downside of the Alpha is he can sometimes be self-obsessed, insensitive, jealous, controlling, perhaps even demeaning or violent in extreme cases. The downside for those who are in relationships with that type of guy is because so many women respond primitively to his darker, masculine energy, he has more choices available to him and is often unfaithful. Perhaps the best real-life example of this scenario is actress Sandra Bullock and her ex-husband, motorcycle bad boy Jesse James, who publicly split after his serial infidelity was revealed in 2010.

Recently, a woman asked the question that prompted me to write this article. She described herself as "a very type A female." She went on to say "I always assumed that I'd need an Alpha male in my life ... to bring out more of my feminine side." She went even further, saying that although she and Alpha men "get" one another because they are strong enough to "take" her, these men are also the cheaters, verbal/emotional abusers or worse.

I was really glad she asked her question for two reasons: (1) because the same problem affects so many smart, accomplished women, and (2) because I can explain what this phenomenon is all about. For starters, this very bright woman, and those like her, are operating under a huge, false assumption that sabotages their romantic prospects. Not only that, it will continue to sabotage them over and over — until they change it.

A Buhera woman allegedly poisoned her husband's child (2) over the mysterious deaths of her children last week. The two-year-old child belonged to her husband's second wife whom she accused of bewitching her child.

Emilia Chinowawa (33) lost three children in two years and attributed the calamity to her husband's other wife, Sarah Murigwa's black magic. She allegedly poisoned Murigwa's 2-year-old child who later died after complaining of severe stomach pains.

Police confirmed the murder which happened in Chigidi Village under Chief Makumbe in Buhera. Assistant Manicaland police spokesperson, Asst Insp Luxson Chananda, said Murigwa (31) and Chinowawa who are both married to Abel Chigidi (38) always fought over Chinowawa's allegations that her co-wife had killed all her children and never wanted her to enjoy motherhood. Chinowawa lost her three children between 2010 and 2012 and suspected that Murigwa had bewitched her.

"On 27 February at around 5am, Murigwa left her child asleep with Esnath Tamanikwa and went to fetch water. Esnath also went away and left the baby unattended. Chinowawa allegedly mixed rat poison with water, sneaked into Murigwa's room and forced the child to drink the concoction. Murigwa later came back and saw her child outside the kitchen hut writhing in pain.

"The infant had also soiled himself and was continuously vomiting. The boy's mother realised that her son was sweating abnormally and he died before she took him to the hospital," said Asst Insp Chananda.

He added that Chinowawa, upon being quizzed by the police admitted that she had poisoned Murigwa's baby. She is assisting police with investigations.

No fewer than five persons, including policemen, have been feared dead following a communal clash between Ganmo and Ganna communities in Kwara State over a traditional stool.

Two persons were already reported dead late Sunday when the violent clash first erupted while three others also lost their lives in the wee hours of yesterday just as several houses worth millions of naira were razed.
The two communities - Ganmo under Ilorin Emirate and Gana in Ifelodun Local Government Area are too interwoven as they are only separated by the major road within the communities.
It was gathered that the bloody clash was induced by the elevation of the monarch of Oluganna to a fourth class status, a decision which the people of Ganmo are said to be uncomfortable with.
However, the celebration of Oniganna's elevation was said to have triggered the clash as the rival community saw it as an act of provocation.
A resident of the area confirmed that he saw two corpses being evacuated from the warring communities apart from the two people killed on Sunday.
"I saw two corpses being taken away in a police vehicle but I am not sure if they are policemen. Right now, there is heavy presence of policemen here and people are afraid to come out for fear of attack," said a source who resides in Ganmo.
State police command, which was silent on the casualty figure yesterday, said none of its officers was killed in the clash. Its spokesman DSP Olufemi Fabode said 15 people have been apprehended in connection with the crisis.
The state government had recently announced the grading of Oluganna stool but the presentation of staff of office to the monarch was reportedly postponed apparently to avert the looming clash.

Lil Wayne Out of ICU, In Stable Condition After Suffering Seizures: Report

Lil Wayne seems to be on the mend. The 30-year-old rapper has reportedly been moved out of the Intensive Care Unit at Cedars-Sinai hospital on Monday, March 18 after being readmitted on March 13.

According to TMZ, Wayne (real name: Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr.) is now in stable condition and is walking and eating on his own. The "Lollipop" rapper was first rushed to the hospital to treat severe seizures on March 12. He was released the following day, only to be readmitted soon after.

TMZ initially reported that Wayne was being read his last rites, but the rapper tweeted March 15 "I'm good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love." His rep also told Us, "Wayne is doing well."

Wayne was visited in the hospital by several of his A-list friends on March 16, including Nicki Minaj, Drake and Birdman. Though conflicting reports on the "Got Money" rapper's health have been circulating this past week, his mentor Birdman tweeted Friday that he "will be home real soon."

Don't you dare disturb the Bey Hive! Keyshia Cole was hit with more than a few angry messages after she ventured to criticize Beyonce for her new single, "Bow Down/I Been On," via Twitter on Monday, March 18.

"Can't stand when people all self righteous when it's convenient it makes them look good," she wrote, calling out the "Love On Top" for her aggressive song. "But can still talk sh-t when convenient 2 FOH."

In Knowles' latest chopped-and-screwed track (the term refers to a specific way of remixing hip hop music), the singer tries her hand at bolder lyrics, including the line in question: "This is my sh-t, bow down, b-tches."
Fans of Knowles, 31, immediately took to Twitter to express their excitement over the new mother's return to the recording studio.
"Just heard Beyonce's new song," one fan tweeted on Sunday, March 17, after the Knowles shared the track on her site. "I feel so bad for every other artist in the game. There is no competition. She reigns supreme."

Cole, 31, was apparently not impressed, however. The R&B singer added more than just her two cents on the social networking site.

How Suicide Bomber Rammed Car-bomb into Passengers Causing the Deadly Kano Explosion

A suicide bomber targeting luxury buses full of passengers detonated a car bomb at a busy motor park in Kano yesterday, killing dozens of people and injuring many others.

The blasts happened along New Road in Sabon Gari, shortly after 5pm when luxury buses were preparing to travel to other parts of the country. 

Survivors told our correspondent that a suicide bomber drove a Volkswagen Golf car into the motor park, meant for passengers traveling to the southern part of the country, and rammed into a Lagos-bound bus which was driving out of the park with dozens of passengers on board. The resulting explosion destroyed the vehicle and set fire to others within the vicinity. There were reports of a second explosion soon after the first one.

Witnesses said many passengers, park attendants and hawkers were caught in the explosions and were burnt beyond recognition, while many others sustained various degrees of injuries. There were conflicting figures of the dead yesterday, with some witnesses saying as many as 60 people were killed.

President of the Ohaneze Ndigbo in Kano State, Chief Tobias Micheal Idika, who said he arrived at the scene immediately after the blast, put the casualty figure at over 60. “I counted over 60 dead bodies and up till now bodies are being removed,” he said. ‘Confusion’ A female survivor Fatima Abdullahi, who was on a business trip to Port Harcourt, told Daily Trust she saw many bodies on the ground after the explosion. “We could see people engulfed in flames inside other buses just before our own also caught fire,” she said.

“The police later started evacuating the dead ones in carts and placing them in vehicles. All the passengers in the first bus perished, as well as other people on the ground, including the attendants that sold ticket to me.” She added that all her luggage and those of her would-be co-travellers were completely destroyed by the resulting fire.

Another witness, Ibrahim Bello, was quoted by Al Jazeera as saying: “I ran for my dear life and managed to get out of the park after the second blast. Many people are lying dead. See, my clothes are covered in blood.” A medic quoted in agency reports also said: “I saw three buses on fire. One of them was fully loaded with passengers waiting to leave the station at the time of the blasts.”

A security source confirmed witness accounts of the incident, saying five luxury buses were burnt and scores of passengers killed. He said at least 20 dead bodies had been counted while many others were trapped in the burning buses. A mechanic, Tunde Kazeem, who works at the motor park, said the explosion was “followed by billows of black smoke and there was a lot of confusion with people rushing out of the motor park, some of them with blood on their clothes.”

Another security official told Daily Trust that up to 80 passengers were on board one of the affected vehicles and that probably less than 10 of them survived. He said the casualty level in the attack was the highest after the coordinated attacks in Kano on January 20 last year in which at least 180 people were killed.

Many of the victims were taken to various hospitals within Kano metropolis, including the Armed Forces Hospital, Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital (MMSH), Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) and others. At the MMSH our correspondent counted four severely burnt bodies being moved to the morgue, while dozens of injured people, including women, were being treated at the accident and emergency wing. Many relations of the victims thronged the hospital crying. A neighbour to one of the victims told our correspondent that his friend, who was a mechanic, had gone to the garage to work when the incident occurred, leaving him with an injured leg.

No group has claimed responsibility for yesterday’s attack up to the time of filing this report last night. But suspicion is likely to fall on the insurgent group that claimed previous deadly strikes in Kano. Last year, an explosion of smaller magnitude at the same park left some people dead and others injured.

Hillary Clinton - 'I Support Marriage For Lesbian and Gay Couples'

In a video posted on the website of the Human Rights Campaign, a gay-rights group, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton comes out in favor of gay marriage. These are her first comments backing gay marriage since leaving the State Department, and they could potentially hint at her 2016 ambitions.

After President Obama, Vice President Biden, and other Democrats have endorsed gay marriage, it's likely that the future Democratic nominee -- in 2016 and beyond -- will have back it.

"I support marriage for lesbian and gay couples," Clinton says in the video. "I support it personally and as a matter of policy and law embedded in a broader effort to advance equality and opportunity for LGBT Americans and for all Americans."

She continues, "Like so many others, my views have been shaped over time by people I have known and loved, by my experience representing our nation on the world stage, my devotion to law and human rights, and the guiding principles of my faith."

The part two of the power couple wedding Tuface and Annie will hold this weekend in Dubai with D’banj, Faze, Sound Sultan,Tony Tetuila, Dotun Omoteye, Hycinth Idibia serving as 2face Idibia’s groomsmen, however, Plantashun Boyz Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo aka Blackface is not in the picture.

Blackface may not also be part of the 250 guests expected to storm Dubai to share the happy moment with Tuface; a man he’s known almost all his life even as Larry Gaga another childhood friend of Tuface is named best man.

Tuface met BlackFace at the Institute of Management technology in 1996 shortly before Plantashun Boyz was formed with Richard Chibuzor Oj (Faze). They quickly stuck as friends until undisclosed internal crisis forced the group to split.

However, real trouble between these two started with the noise raised over the original writer of African Queen. Tuface almost lost the shine he garnered from the success of the song after allegations of ‘unlawful usage of intellectual property’ was allegedly raised by Blackface. The matter was quickly and amicably settled but their relationship never again remained the same even after they came back briefly in 2007 to do a Plantashun Boyz re-union album titled Plan B.

Blackface has not been sighted at significant events concerning Tuface, this wedding may not be different.

The wedding will hold at the Sefinah Ballroom of Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Reception will hold at an exotic Island called Royal Island Beach. Guests will be conveyed in luxury boats from the wedding venue to the Island. The wedding after party will hold at Nigerian owned club, Kiza Nite Club.

My Oga At The Top: ''I Am Still In Charge'' – Obafaiye Shem

The Lagos State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Mr. Obafaiye Shem, has dismissed the stories making the rounds about his suspension from work saying he is still in- charge of the command.

This is even as the Channels Television has described as wild tale, the rumour that Mr Shem has been suspended and the purported protest by his wife over the upload of the interview by the Channels.

According to the commandant, he has been on casual leave to perform the burial rites of his father Pa Michael Obafaye, who died on February 8, 2013 at the age of 82 and will resume at his duty post next Thursday.

He said; ”I am still the State Commandant of NSCSC and I am determined to work hard to expose the vandals across the State.”

Shem who recently celebrated his 100 days in office said already, he has some pending files on his table which will be treated as soon as he resumes work. Since assumption of office, the Command under his leadership, has uncovered several hideouts of vandals especially at Arepo, Festac town and Epe and has paraded several pipeline vandals including three siblings.

It will be recalled that the social media was awash over the alleged suspension of Mr. Obafaye from office by the Ministry of Interior for postulating the “my oga at the top” mantra during a live interview on Lagos-based Channels Television last Tuesday.

On his wife’s visit to Channels Television, Obafaye said, ”my wife was in the village with me for my father’s burial and there is no way she could have visited the television station to carry out a protest. She is a learned person and somebody of that caliber would not have been involved in such a jinx.

I see all these as a distraction which is not enough to hinder me from achieving my goal in Lagos State.”

Meanwhile, in a post in its website Monday, the Channels Television said, “the rumour making the rounds that commandant of the Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corp in Lagos has been demoted or suspended in the aftermath of a now famous phrase is false.

The alleged visit by his wife to the headquarters of Channels Television to protest the upload of the interview where he failed to name his organisation’s website has been discredited as another wild tale.”

CAN Cries Out Over Mass Killings in Kano; 60 People Dead So Far

Monday was yet another bloody day in Nigeria as over 60 passengers, drivers and residents lost their lives to explosions at an inter-state luxury bus park in the city of Kano.

TON gathered that the reason for the Kano bomb blast is still being investigated. Some witnesses have attributed it to improvised explosive devices planted in a luxury bus in the ever-busy park, others said it was carried out by three suicide bombers.

The explosions left many injured and some buses destroyed in the park located in the Sabon-Gari, an area mostly inhabited by non-indigenes on Kano.

 

Chairman of the Kano chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Tobias Idika, said records available to him showed that more than 60 persons died and five luxury buses burnt.

“This is the worst experience of the Igbo in Kano; we have lost over 60 souls, while five buses were burnt to ashes . These show that we have always been the target of the attacks. IEDs were kept inside a luxurious bus which was about to leave Kano for Lagos.

“People were flying like chickens here and you know there were so many people in the bus when the IEDs exploded,” he said.

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, said the latest killings have exposed the hypocrisy in the call for Amnesty by Muslim leaders for Boko Haram.

 

As usual, President Goodluck Jonathan has condemned the killing of over 60 Nigerians. He described the act as barbaric and commensurate with the victims and their families.
