As you read this, 45-year-old Mrs Eucharia Onuorah has been arrested and charged to court for making a false claim that a young guy, Daniel Chile, raped her in her matrimonial in Lagos.

The relationship between Eucharia and Chile, her neighbour, was cordial before it went sour because the young guy refused to sleep with her, in spite of her persistence...

According to PM news, she was charged before an Isolo Magistrate’s court, Lagos, with false accusation after her failed attempt to lure Chile into sex was exposed.

On the day the allegation was made, Chile got to the compound at about 2.00pm and Eucharia who was at home suddenly pounced on him, shouted and raised an alarm which attracted other neighbours who came out to know what was happening.

She alleged that she was raped by Chile in her apartment and brought out torn underwears and clothes as "evidence" of her allegation. People were surprised.

The young man, Chile, was shocked and speechless, he did not even know how to defend himself. He managed to tell those around that he didn’t do such and disclosed that the woman had been pestering him for sex but he refused since she is a married woman.

The matter was reported at Zone D Police Division at Mushin where the parties were invited and interrogated. During interrogation, a source said Eucharia finally confessed that she was not actually raped by Chile. She however failed to state the reason why she lied against him. 

Consequently, she was charged to court for false allegation under the Criminal Code. The presiding Magistrate, Osho Adebiyi, granted her bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum. 

The matter was adjourned till 24 April, 2013. Eucharia, a mother of five children, was remanded in prison custody pending when she will fulfil her bail condition.

The incident happened at 8, Dosunmu Street, Mushin, Lagos.

Charity, they say, begins at home. A man who is not well trained at home will be well taught outside. All these African proverbs best describe the situation the Nollywood bad boy, Jim Iyke got inside into the last time.

John Kiriamiti, a Kenyan author’s whose book is been adapted for a film where Jim Iyke would be playing the lead role has advised the actor to ‘stop talking like an American’ and ‘learn how to talk like me to be able to play the role well.”

Adding further, John said, ‘Whoever has read the book has told me they read it thrice or four times and as you know in the book I wasn’t acting I was doing it for real. I hope that translates also in the movie.’

Jim, has been casted for the lead role of Jack Zolo in a new Kenyan crime thriller entitled My Life In Crime.

The movie, is an adaptation of three novels written by John Kiriamiti based on ‘his life as a real gangster’, according to sources.

The three books are My Life In Crime, My Life With A Criminal and My Life In Prison.

Ado – Odo Monarch Beaten and Stripped After Angry Mob Burnt his Palace

here was pandemonium yesterday in Ado-Odo area of Ogun State as the palace of a monarch, the Olofin of Ado-Odo, Oba Lateef Adeniran Akanni, was razed by some aggrieved youths.
The monarch, Nigerian Compass learnt, had been having a running battle with some interest groups in the community, who allegedly did not want him despite a Supreme Court judgement validating his appointment three years ago.
According to sources, Oba Akanni was hospitalised following the severe beating he received from the rampaging youths.
The burnt palace has also been deserted as wives, children, family members and servants fled the area apparently for fear of being attacked again.
Trouble was said to have started for the traditional ruler when his Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) was flagged down by some people in the community.
In the process of attending to the people, the unsuspecting monarch was dragged out of his vehicle, beaten and stripped.
Though the incident may not be unconnected with the chieftaincy crisis in the town, another source attributed it to an alleged accident involving the monarch a few days ago.
Oba Akanni, according to the source, allegedly failed to visit a victim of the accident, a development which reportedly infuriated some community youths who plotted the attack.
The violence prompted the state Police Commissioner, Ikemefuna Okoye, and the state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Muyiwa Oladipo, to visit the area and douse tension.
Confirming the incident in a telephone interview yesterday, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi, said normalcy had been restored to the community.
Adejobi, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), however, said he was unaware of the alleged stripping of the monarch.
“I know some people went to the palace and attacked the Oba of Ado-Odo but normalcy has been restored to the town. The Commissioner of Police has been there and we are going to ensure that the needful is done to bring all those involved in the act to book,” he added.
Also yesterday, the Ogun State government appealed to the people of Ado-Odo community to shun violence and maintain peace in order to promote socio-economic development of the state.
Speaking through the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Muyiwa Oladipo, the government described the attack on the monarch as “sheer lawlessness.”
Oladipo said there were ways the people could adopt to show their displeasure over the installation of the monarch that was reinstalled by the Supreme Court of the land rather than resorting to burning of houses, beating people and harassing the monarch.
While assuring the people of the state government’s readiness to find a lasting solution to the chieftaincy crisis, the commissioner said a panel of inquiry would be set up to look into the remote and immediate causes of the attack.

Relationships are good. The various Holy books recommend marriage, and most men want to settle down with someone good. However, if you are a woman and unable to find a man who consistently enjoys your company, then there’s a problem. I’ve tried to categorize some character traits commonly found in women which tend to keep the prospective men at bay. If you fall into one or two of these categories, sister, it just might be time to make a change.

Being judgemental and generalizing: A few bad experiences don’t mean all men are the same. It shocks me to hear women say all men are the same. Making such an assertion is not only wrong, it affects your judgement of men and consequently affects how you relate to them. A woman who generalizes is usually quick to read the wrong meanings into men’s actions, and usually reacts irrationally before even considering their actions. No man will stick around too long if he’s always feeling attacked and misunderstood.

Easy catch: I can bet that a man will avoid you if he knows you’ve slept with every available man on your street or a sizeable number of men in your school. No man wants to settle for the chaff when the substance has been lost. However, if he isn’t aware, you may wish to keep the details to yourself and not flaunt it. It makes a man insecure to know that he is dating an ‘easy catch’ and might send him on his merry way sooner than either of you thought.
